With Display Screen Module (DSM)

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). For 2.0L, Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM or BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM . For 2.0L Hybrid, Refer to 12-VOLT POWER DOWN . For 3.6L, Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM . For 6.4L, Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM . .
2. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Remove the PIM to instrument panel fasteners and separate the PIM from the instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the wire harness connector and remove from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• Tighten the fasteners securely to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
