Electronic Shift Module

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
2. Remove the floor console cup holder. Refer to CUPHOLDER, FLOOR CONSOLE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

   2 - Electronic Shift Module

3. Remove the fasteners that secure the Electronic Shift Module (ESM) to the cup holder.
4. If replacing the ESM remove the transfer case switch. Refer to BW48-12, SWITCH, TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BW48-30, SWITCH, TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. If equipped remove the air suspension ride height switch. Refer to MODULE, RIDE HEIGHT SWITCH, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.
