Diagnostic Test

POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST 

  1. Inspect the vehicle to make sure that all engine components are properly installed and connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary.
  2. After repairs are complete, erase all DTCs with the scan tool.
    Scan Tool Learn Procedures Component replaced or removed: Note: (All available Learn procedures should be performed when a PCM is replaced)
    Brake Pedal Learn Brake Pedal Position Sensor, Brake Pedal Assembly
    Cam Crank Relearn (NGC/GPEC Controllers) CKP Sensor, CMP Sensor, Flywheel, Valvetrain components (timing chain, gears, tensioners), Cam Phasers
    Clear Misfire TLC (Magneti Marelli Controllers) CKP Sensor, CMP Sensor, Flywheel, Valvetrain components (timing chain, gears, tensioners), Cam Phasers
    Clutch Pedal Learn Clutch Pedal Position Sensor, Clutch Pedal, Clutch Assembly (pressure plate and disc)
    EGR Valve Replaced EGR Valve
    Learn ETC Throttle Body
    Check PCM Odometer PCM Replaced
    Check PCM VIN PCM Replaced
    PCM Replaced Routine PCM Replaced
    Learn Gear Shift Sensor Gear Shift Position Sensor, Transmission Shifter components
  3. If the PCM has been replaced  , perform the Module Programming procedure. The PCM Reprogramming procedure is in: MODULE PROGRAMMING . Be certain to program the secret key code, VIN and odometer mileage after programming the PCM.
  4. Operate the vehicle in accordance with the parameters and specific information found in the Monitoring Conditions and Theory of Operation of the DTC that was repaired.
  5. With the scan tool, verify that no DTCs have returned.

    Are there any DTCs or driveability concerns present?

    Yes 

    No 

    • Repair is complete.
