The fuel pressure sensor is located in the fuel supply line. The sensor can be serviced separately from the line. The PCM uses this sensor to monitor the fuel rail pressure. The sensor element, a semiconductor device, converts the pressure to an electric signal mounted on the diaphragm. The signal generated by the sensor is monitored by the PCM.
