Default Action
- If CAN C is still functioning:
- ESM will continue to communicate over the CAN C bus. Customer will not notice any problems with vehicle.
- If both CAN Dedicated Powertrain (D-PT) and CAN C are not functioning:
- Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) solenoid will be disabled. (Shifter may be locked in Park or Neutral.)
- Gear selection will be disabled.
- Shift indicator Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) will be blinking.
- Shifter background illumination LEDs will be turned off.
- A Stored DTC will be cleared after 100 ignition cycles if the failure does not reoccur.
