The CAN Dedicated Powertrain (D-PT) ESHIFT bus is also known as the Private CAN BUS.

The Electronic Shift Module (ESM) communicates with the Transmission Control Module (TCM) on the CAN Dedicated Powertrain (D-PT) ESHIFT bus. If the ESM loses communication with the TCM on the CAN DPT ESHIFT bus, this CAN BUS OFF DTC sets.
