Torque Procedure:
- Tighten to 200 N.m (148 Ft. Lbs.)
- Measure Pinion Torque To Rotate (PTTR).
NOTE:
Do not exceed 900 N.m (664 Ft. Lbs.) of torque when tightening the Pinion Nut.
- Tighten the pinion nut in 6.8 N.m (5 Ft. Lbs.) increments until the PTTR of 1.3 to 2.3 N.m (12 to 20 In. Lbs.) with new bearings is achieved.
