Gear Shift Cable Adjustment
NOTE:
The select cable adjustment device is located at the shifter end of the neutral gate cable.
- From inside the passenger compartment, depress the clutch pedal and move the shift lever to the 3rd gear range position. Jiggle the shifter to either side (left and right) and then release the shift knob and let the spring center the shift lever. Use a scan tool to verify the vehicle is in the 3/4 neutral gate position.
- Locate the neutral gate select cable to the right side of the shifter assembly.
- Release the adjuster by pushing the locking tab outward.
1 - Locking Tab - Once the cable is adjusted to the desired position, depress the locking tab to lock the adjuster.
- Verify that the shifter operates properly.
