Track Bar: Notes

REMOVAL 

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the track bar frame nut and the track bar frame bolt.

  3. Remove the track bar axle bolt and flag nut from the axle bracket.
  4. Remove the track bar.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

NOTE:

In any instance where a bolt is through a rubber bushing, the bolt must be torqued with the vehicle at normal ride height.

NOTE:

It may be necessary to pry the axle assembly over to install the track bar at the frame rail.

NOTE:

The track bar frame bolt must be installed from front to rear.
