Media Hub
| Refer to COMPONENT INDEX . |
A media hub allows the audio content of various media devices to be connected to the radio. Once connected, the audio content of the media device may be accessed and played through the audio system components of the vehicle using the radio controls.
The media hub monitors its circuits for excessive temperature and current conditions and will disable the media hub when a fault exists. The media hub will set a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in the radio when conditions exist for that DTC.
The media hub Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports provide 5 volts at 2.5 amps to charge the media device battery and for up to 60 minutes after the ignition switch is turned OFF. The hub will illuminate whenever a connected device is disconnected, indicating that the port(s) are active and ready to charge a device and incorporates the Apple Carplay and Google Android Auto features for the audio system.
For diagnosis and testing of the media hub and USB ports, refer to: MULTI-MEDIA TEST .
