Battery Tray: Notes

1. Remove the bolts securing the pressurized coolant bottle and set it aside. Refer to BOTTLE, COOLANT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Remove the vehicle battery. Refer to BATTERY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , or refer to BATTERY, SUPPLEMENTAL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the supplemental battery. Refer to BATTERY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , or refer to BATTERY, SUPPLEMENTAL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the battery drip trays

5. Disconnect the PCM and release the wire harness from the battery tray/PCM bracket.
6. Remove the bolts securing the battery tray to the vehicle and remove the battery tray.

7. If needed swap the PCM to the new battery tray or replace the PCM as needed.
8. If needed remove the battery tray support brackets

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.

• If a new PCM is installed, program as needed. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
