Diagnostic Test

READ AND RECORD DTCS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DATA - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR THE DTC TO RETURN
NOTE:
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
1. Make sure the passenger seat is empty and in the upright position. Make sure the temperature of the seat is lower than 90 degrees F and higher than 35 degrees F.
2. Turn ignition on.
3. With the scan tool in OCM, select the Miscellaneous Functions tab on the scan tool, select OCM System Verification Test. Run the test by following the instructions displayed on the scan tool. When the test completes, wait two minutes and then proceed as follows.
4. With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs and record on the repair order.
5. With the scan tool, run a Vehicle Scan Report or record the Environmental Data.
6. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
7. Turn the ignition off for at least 10.0 seconds.
8. Turn ignition on.
9. With the scan tool in OCM, select the Miscellaneous Functions tab on the scan tool, select OCM System Verification Test. Run the test by following the instructions displayed on the scan tool. When the test completes, wait two minutes and then proceed as follows.
10. With the scan tool, read active DTCs. Active DTCs will cause the relearn procedure to fail.
  Does the scan tool display active or stored B1BA8-00-OCM SYSTEM OUT OF CALIBRATION/NOT CALIBRATED active DTCs?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - OCM re-zero procedure complete. Perform the Standard Procedure OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE (OCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE (OCM) VERIFICATION TEST .
OCM SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST - EMPTY SEAT RELEARN PROCEDURE
1. Perform the OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE (OCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE (OCM) VERIFICATION TEST .
2. Turn ignition on.
3. With the scan tool in OCM, select the Miscellaneous Functions tab on the scan tool, select OCM System Verification Test. Run the test by following the instructions displayed on the scan tool. When the test completes, wait two minutes and then proceed as follows.
4. With the scan tool, read active DTCs. Active DTCs will cause the relearn procedure to fail.
  Does the scan tool display active or stored B1BA8-00-OCM SYSTEM OUT OF CALIBRATION/NOT CALIBRATED active DTCs?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Occupant Classification Module (OCM) and seat cushion foam in accordance with Service Information. Refer to MODULE, OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION (OCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE (OCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE (OCM) VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - OCM re-zero procedure complete. Perform the Standard Procedure OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE (OCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE (OCM) VERIFICATION TEST .
