Theory Of Operation

The Electric Power Steering (EPS) Module detects this fault, the DTC will set and indicates that either DTC C15C1-00 or DTC C2217-00 has set multiple times and the EPS Module will take the action of permanently turning the power steering assist off on the next key cycle and disabling the EPS Module.
