Removal And Installation: Removal

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the gas particulate filter. Refer to FILTER, GAS PARTICULATE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Remove the bolt (1a) and the heat shield (1b).

Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.

Remove the CMP sensor (1) complete with O-ring.
