Diagnostic Test

  1. READ AND RECORD DTCS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DATA - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN 
    1. With the scan tool, read DTCs in all Electronic Control Units (ECU's) and record on the repair order.
    2. With the scan tool, run a vehicle Scan Report, or record the Environmental Data related to the DTCs.
    3. With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
    4. Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10 seconds.
    5. Turn the ignition on.
    6. Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    7. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

    Did the DTC return?

    Yes 

    • Go To  2

    No 

  2. INSPECT THE DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA 
    1. Inspect the Driver Monitoring Camera. Verify the following:
      • Camera lens is not dirty, damaged, obscured or out of alignment
      • Nothing is obstructing the view of the camera
      • Steering wheel is not interfering with the view of the camera

    Were any problems found?

    Yes 

    • Repair as necessary.
    • Perform the Driver Monitoring Camera alignment procedure in accordance with the Service Information.
    • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    • Go To  3
  3. PERFORM THE DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA CALIBRATION PROCEDURE - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN 
    1. Perform the Driver Monitoring Camera calibration procedure in accordance with the Service Information.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10 seconds.
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

    Did the DTC return?

    Yes 

    • Replace the Driver Monitoring Camera in accordance with the Service Information.
    • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    • Performing the calibration procedure corrected the condition.
    • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
