Removal And Installation

NOTE:

New Transmission Control Modules (TCMs) are supplied with generic software. When replacing a TCM, it must be programmed with vehicle specific software.

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, use a diagnostic scan tool to perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available).

For removal and installation of the Transmission Control Module Assembly (TCMA). Refer to VALVE BODY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 8HP50/850RE and/or VALVE BODY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 8HP75 .
