DCSM Verification Test
Perform the following procedure to verify proper Dual Clutch Shifter Module (DCSM) operation after repairs have been performed.
- Reinstall any removed components.
- Reconnect any disconnected electrical connectors.
- With the scan tool, erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the following modules:
- Dual Clutch Selector Module (DCSM)
- Transmission Control Module (TCM)
- Body Control Module (BCM)
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
- With the scan tool, display the Transmission Temperature.
- Start the engine and allow the Transmission fluid temperature to reach 43°C (110°F).
- With the service brake applied, change the Shifter position to each of the available positions.
- The Shift indicators should indicate the correct position for each of the available positions.
- The Shifter backlighting should be the same brightness as the rest of the Instrument Panel (IP) backlighting.
- With the scan tool, read DCSM DTCs and record on the repair order.
Did any DCSM DTCs set?
Yes
- Repair DCSM DTCs. Refer to DTC TROUBLESHOOTING .
No
- Test complete.
