DCSM Verification Test

Perform the following procedure to verify proper Dual Clutch Shifter Module (DCSM) operation after repairs have been performed.

1. Reinstall any removed components.
2. Reconnect any disconnected electrical connectors.
3. With the scan tool, erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the following modules:
   • Dual Clutch Selector Module (DCSM)
   • Transmission Control Module (TCM)
   • Body Control Module (BCM)
   • Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
4. With the scan tool, display the Transmission Temperature.
5. Start the engine and allow the Transmission fluid temperature to reach 43°C (110°F).
6. With the service brake applied, change the Shifter position to each of the available positions.
7. The Shift indicators should indicate the correct position for each of the available positions.
8. The Shifter backlighting should be the same brightness as the rest of the Instrument Panel (IP) backlighting.
9. With the scan tool, read DCSM DTCs and record on the repair order.

   Did any DCSM DTCs set?

   Yes 

   • Repair DCSM DTCs. Refer to DTC TROUBLESHOOTING .

   No 

   • Test complete.
