- Contains the forward looking radar to determine the speed and distance to vehicle or obstacles in the vehicles path.
- Contains and performs the logic ACC, and all variants of the FCW system.
- Transmits on the Controller Area Network - Chassis (CAN-C) bus any faulted states of any involved FCW systems.
- Transmits on the CAN-C bus the ACC system state (off, enabled, engaged)
- Transmits on the CAN-C the ACC drive command to the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) located in the ABS module.
- Transmits on the CAN-C the ACC still command to the ESC.
- Transmits on the CAN-C the gear requests to the TCM via the ESC.
- Transmits on the CAN-C the ON/OFF states of the FCW system.
- Transmits on the CAN-C the brake prefill request to the ESC.
