Sensor, Fuel Pressure: Description
The fuel pressure sensor it integral to the fuel supply line located in the engine compartment near the bulkhead going to the high pressure fuel pump. The fuel pressure sensor accurately monitors the fuel delivery pump pressure to the high pressure fuel injection pump. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the sensor utilizing 3 circuits:
- 5 volt reference signal
- Fuel pressure input signal
- Sensor ground (sensor return)
