Converter, Catalytic: Installation
- Install a NEW
gasket (1) on the catalytic converter (2).
- Install the catalytic converter to the turbocharger using NEW
bolts (1) and NEW
nuts (1) and tighten finger tight.
- Install the catalytic converter support bracket (2) and tighten the six bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the cross under pipe. Refer to PIPE, EXHAUST CROSSUNDER, INSTALLATION .
- Tighten the catalytic converter bolts (1) and nuts (3) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the EGR tube. Refer to TUBE, EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR), INSTALLATION
.
- Install the catalytic converter heat shield (2) and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the upstream and downstream oxygen sensor. Refer to SENSOR, OXYGEN, INSTALLATION .
- Install the pressurized coolant bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, PRESSURIZED COOLANT, INSTALLATION .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, INSTALLATION .
