Right Hand Drive: Notes

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to 2.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM or 2.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM or 2.0L, 12-VOLT BATTERY DISCONNECT/CONNECT - PHEV or 3.0L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM or 3.6L, BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM or 3.6L, HYBRID, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM or 6.4L, BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to 2.0L, BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or 2.0L, HYBRID, BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or 3.0L, BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or 3.6L, BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or 6.4L, BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

    1 - Supply Line
    2 - Pressure Line to Pump Bolt
    3 - Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) Pump Wire Harness Connectors
    4 - Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) Pump Wire Harness Connectors
    5 - Return Line
  4. Disconnect the two Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) pump wire harness connectors.
  5. With the hose clamp released disconnect the supply line from the EHPS pump and secure the hose end higher than the power steering pump reservoir.
  6. Remove the pressure line to pump bolt and remove the EHPS pressure line from the EHPS pump.
  7. With the hose clamp released disconnect the return line from the EHPS pump.

  8. Remove the two power steering pump bracket to frame bolts.
  9. Remove the EHPS pump and bracket assembly from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
