Transmission CROSSMEMBER: Notes

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the transmission crossmember support Refer to CROSSMEMBER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

   1 - Outer Bolts

   2 - Inner Bolts

   3 - Crossmember Bracket

3. Remove the outer bolts attaching the crossmember bracket to the frame.
4. Remove the inner bolts attaching the crossmember bracket to the crossmember and remove the bracket.

   3 - Bolts

5. Remove the nuts securing the transmission mount to the transmission crossmember.
6. Using a suitable lifting device, raise and support the transmission.
7. Remove the bolts and remove the transmission crossmember.

INSTALLATION 

During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle.
