Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the battery for installation.

  2. Place the retaining strap and bracket on the battery and tighten the nut (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

  3. Connect the battery positive terminal to the power box (1) and tighten to the proper, then tighten the nut (2) of the positive terminal and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

  4. Install the plate and tighten the screws (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS 
    NOTE:

    BUX vehicle shown in illustration, NAFTA similar. The NAFTA market does not  use a second nut (2) on the 150 Amp fuse.

  5. Place the lid of the box power on the positive battery terminal, then engage the retainers.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
