Backup Battery: Removal

- Remove the Emergency Assistance Module (EAM) from the vehicle. Refer to MODULE, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE (EAM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or MODULE, GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the EAM backup battery cover (3) from the EAM (1).
- Gently pull the backup battery (2) from the EAM (1) and disconnect the negative battery wire connector, then disconnect the positive battery wire connector.
