Wiring, MOPAR Connect TELEMATIC Box: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Release the lower B pillar trim and move it aside without removing it. Refer to PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Disconnect the T-box wire harness connector (1).

  5. Remove the T-box relay (1) complete with relay holder, releasing it from the cradle underneath, fixed to the bottom bracket.

  6. Remove the nut (1b) on the ground pin of the front pillar area open the cable retainers and remove the T-box harness ground ring.
    NOTE:

    The T-box harness ground ring is the one at 90° to the normal production cables, if present.

  7. Cut the insulating tape used to compact the T-box harness with the car's main wiring, taking the greatest care not to damage the normal production wiring.

  8. Cut the bands (1) used to compact the ground lead of the T-box harness with the main vehicle wiring along the interior side panel, being very careful not to damage the normal production wiring.

  9. Cut the thermal shrinking connection tubes (1) used to connect the ignition signal (+50) to the T-box relay.

  10. Remove the two turret fuse-holders (1) from the Body Computer and recover the two original fuses F36 (+30) and F51 (+15) fitted on them.

  11. Disconnect the Body Computer's C6 connector (1) and remove the block which covers the internal connections.

  12. Remove the two cables CAN L (white) and CAN H (blue) of the T-box harness from the position corresponding to pins 52 (CAN L) and 51 (CAN H) respectively of the connector (1a) using a suitable extractor tool (1b).

  13. Disconnect the Body Computer's C6 connector and remove the block which covers the internal connections.

  14. Remove the door opening signal cable (green) of the T- Box harness from the position corresponding to pin 11 of the connector (1a) using a suitable extractor tool (1b).

  15. Cut the insulating tape (1) and ties (2) used to compact the T-box harness with the car's main wiring, taking the greatest care not to damage the normal production wiring, then remove the T-box wiring.
