Removal And Installation: Removal

LHD shown RHD similar.
- Press the steering column shroud close out tab (1) upwards to disengage it from the steering column shroud and remove the tab (1).
- Release the steering column lock lever (2) by placing it in the down position.
- Remove the three steering column shroud screws (1).
- Pull the lower steering column shroud (3) away from the upper steering column shroud (2) to disengage plastic lock tabs.
- Disconnect the Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) wire harness connector (1).
- Remove the lower steering column shroud.
- Remove the two upper steering column shroud screws.
- Tilt the upper steering column shroud upwards then disengage the gap hider and remove the upper steering column shroud.
- If replacing the lower steering column shroud remove the ignition control.
