Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the starter and install the upper starter retaining bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS 
  2. Position the gear selector cable retaining bracket (2), then install and securely tighten the bracket bolt (2).

  3. Install the lower starter bolt (1) and tighten the bolt to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS 
  4. Position the B+ electrical connection to the starter, then install and securely tighten the nut (3).
  5. Connect the starter wire harness connector (2).
  6. If equipped with Front Wheel Drive (FWD), install the intermediate shaft. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. If equipped with All Wheel Drive (AWD), install the Power Transfer Unit (PTU). Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the battery tray and battery. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
