Capacitor, Ignition: Removal: 2.4L

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. .

  3. Remove the nut (2) and the capacitor heat shield (1).

  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1).

  5. Remove stud bolt (2) and ignition capacitor (1) from the front of the cylinder head.
