Sensor, Camshaft Position: Removal: 2.4L

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.

  3. Remove the nut (2) and the Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor heat shield (1).

  4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1).

  5. Remove stud bolt (2) and CMP sensor (1) from the front of the cylinder head.
