Power Inverter Module (PIM)

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to the appropriate information .
2. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the Comfort Seat and Wheel Module (CSWM), if equipped. Refer to MODULE, COMFORT SEAT AND WHEEL (CSWM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

   1 - Bolt

   2 - Support Fasteners

   3 - Bracket Fasteners

   4 - PIM

4. Remove the upper PIM bracket to Instrument Panel (IP) support fasteners.
5. Remove the lower PIM bracket to IP support fasteners.
6. Carefully remove the bracket with the PIM and disconnect the wire harness connector.
7. Remove the PIM to bracket fasteners and separate the PIM from the bracket.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• Tighten the fasteners securely to the proper specifications
