Depending on the market, the Driver Airbag (DAB) can be single-stage, Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA) or multistage, North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) module will operate the single or the double charge.

Only the single charge is available in the EMEA market.

The DAB cannot be repaired, and must be replaced if deployed, ineffective or in any way damaged. The DAB trim cover and the floating horn switch are serviced only as a unit with the DAB.
