Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition on, engine not running.
    2. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Is the DTC active?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE (N213) PUMP PWM CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the FPCM 2 harness connector.
    3. Check for continuity between ground and the (N213) Fuel Pump PWM Control circuit at the FPCM 2 harness connector.

      Is there continuity between ground and the (N213) Fuel Pump PWM Control circuit?

      Yes 

      • Repair the (N213) Fuel Pump PWM Control circuit for a short to ground.
      • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

      No 

      • Replace the Fuel Pump Assembly in accordance with the Service Information.
      • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
