Battery, Supplemental: Installation
WARNING:
Wear a suitable pair of rubber gloves when removing a battery by hand. Safety glasses should also be worn. If the battery is cracked or leaking, the electrolyte can burn the skin and eyes.
- Install the supplemental battery into the vehicle.
- Install the battery holddown into position and install the battery strap to tray holddown nut (1). Tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Position back the positive battery cable (3) and connect to the supplemental battery. Tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position back the negative battery cable (2) and connect to the supplemental battery. Tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the primary battery negative battery cable. Tighten the negative post to the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) sensor to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the battery cover.
- Move the passenger seat back to its original position.
