Sensor, Intrusion Module: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the overhead console from the headliner. Refer to CONSOLE, OVERHEAD, FRONT, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the intrusion sensor pigtail wire harness connector (1) from the Intrusion Transceiver Module (ITM) (2) on the overhead console housing.
- Remove the ITM from the overhead console housing and set aside. Refer to MODULE, INTRUSION, REMOVAL .
- Remove the intrusion sensors (1) from the receptacles in the overhead console one at a time. Grasp a sensor firmly and rotate it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to disengage it from the rearward-facing receptacle on either side of the overhead console housing. Repeat for the sensor on the opposite side of the overhead console.
- Remove both sensors and the pigtail wire harness from the overhead console as a unit.
