Left Fuel Rail

WARNING:

No sparks, open flames or smoking. Risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing.

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

Remove the engine cover (1).
Remove the left Charge Air Cooler (CAC) tube.

Remove the fuel injector silencer (1).

Disconnect the fuel pressure solenoid wire harness connector (1).
Disconnect the fuel rail return line (2) and position aside.
Remove the left bank fuel tubes. Refer to TUBE(S), FUEL, REMOVAL .

Using the (special tool #2025400090, Remover-Installer, Fuel Rail Bolt) (1), remove the bolts and the left fuel rail.
