Starting System (Service Information): Starter: Installation: 6.4L

1. Install the starter (1) and tighten the fasteners (2) to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION  .
2. Connect the starter solenoid wire harness connector.
3. Install the battery cable and tighten the nut to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION  .
4. Install the starter heat shield from the rear of the vehicle.
5. Install the bolt and nuts securing the starter heat shield and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION  .
6. Install the front driveshaft. Refer to INSTALLATION .
7. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, INSTALLATION .
8. Install the front suspension skid plate. Refer to INSTALLATION .
9. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten the nut to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
