1 - Exhaust Isolator 2 - Exhaust Isolator Bolts - Remove the exhaust isolator bolts and the front exhaust isolator.
1 - Selective Catalytic Reduction Catalyst Nuts 2 - Selective Catalytic Reduction Catalyst - Saturate the fasteners with Mopar® Rust Inhibitor. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.
- Remove the SCR catalyst nuts and the SCR catalyst.
- Remove and discard the flange gasket.
INSTALLATION
During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Clean all gasket sealing surfaces.
- Install a NEW Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst gasket.
- Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. A minimum of 25.4 mm (1.0 in.) is required between the exhaust system components and body/frame parts. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
- Using the scan tool, perform SCR System Catalyst Reset function found under MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS.
