Diagnosis And Testing - Power Lumbar Switch

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the power lumbar support switch from the seat. Refer to SWITCH, LUMBAR CONTROL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Use an ohmmeter to test the continuity of the power lumbar support switch in the following position shown in illustration, using the following table. If not OK, replace the inoperative power lumbar support switch. If switch tests OK, check for an open or short in the power lumbar support circuit wiring. If no open or short is found, replace the power lumbar support adjuster motor(s) as required.

OFF 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 2-3, 2-4, 2-5, 3-4, 3-5, 4-5
LEFT (4) 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 2-6, 3-4, 3-5, 4-5
RIGHT (2) 1-2, 1-4, 1-5, 2-4, 2-5, 3-6, 4-5
UP (1) 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 2-3, 2-4, 3-4, 5-6
DOWN (3) 1-6, 2-3, 2-4, 2-5, 3-4, 3-5, 4-5
