DISASSEMBLY
| 1 - Ring Gear |
| 2 - Ring Gear Bolts |
| 3 - Differential Case |
- Remove and DISCARD
the ring gear bolts and remove the ring gear from the differential case.
1 - Hammer 2 - Punch 3 - Roll Pin - Remove the pinion mate shaft roll pin;
- with a punch and hammer if the case has a through hole.
- with a suitable slide hammer if the case has a blind hole.

1 - Differential Case 2 - Pinion Mate Shaft - Remove the pinion mate shaft from the differential case and the pinion gears.
1 - Differential Side Gears 2 - Pinion Gears - Rotate the differential side gears to expose the pinion gears to the differential windows.
- Remove the pinion gears with the thrust washers through the differential windows.
1 - Differential Side Gears 2 - Differential Pinion Gears - Remove the differential side gears with thrust washers through the differential window.

NOTE:
If the same gears and thrust washers are being used, install them into their original locations.
- Lubricate all differential components with axle lubricant.
- Install the differential side gears with the thrust washers through the differential window.
1 - Differential Side Gears 2 - Differential Pinion Gears - Install the pinion gears with the thrust washers through differential windows.
1 - Pinion Gears 2 - Pinion Mate Shaft Hole - Rotate the pinion gears with the thrust washers and align the gears to the pinion mate shaft hole.
1 - Roll Pin Hole 2 - Pinion Mate Shaft - Install the pinion mate shaft in the differential case and pinion gears while keeping the pinion mate shaft roll pin hole aligned with the opening.
1 - Roll Pin 2 - Differential Case - Install the pinion mate shaft roll pin in the differential case and through the pinion mate shaft.
1 - Ring Gear 2 - Ring Gear Bolts 3 - Differential Case - Install the ring gear, the NEW ring gear bolts on the differential case and alternately tighten to the proper torque specification.
