TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - 8HP50 TRANSMISSION INTERNALS

Hydraulic Impulse Solenoid Bolts 8 N.m (71 In. Lbs.)  -
Output Speed Sensor Bolt 8 N.m (71 In. Lbs.)  -
Park Lock Solenoid Screw 6 N.m (53 In. Lbs.)  -
Park Pawl Lock Rod Guide Plate Bolt 13 N.m (10 Ft. Lbs.)  -
Park Pawl Shaft Plug 35 N.m (26 Ft. Lbs.)  -
Transmission Oil Pan Bolt 11 N.m (8 Ft. Lbs.)  Tightening Sequence

Transmission Oil Pan Drain Plug 9 N.m (80 In. Lbs.)  -
Transmission Oil fill Plug 35 N.m (26 Ft. Lbs.)  -
Transmission Oil Filter to Transmission Oil Pan 6 N.m (53 In. Lbs.)  -
Transmission Oil Pump Assembly To Case Bolts Torque Procedure: 
  1. Firmly press the oil pump in place by hand before drawing it in with bolts. 
  2. In order to seat the oil pump cover properly, pre tighten bolts one, seven and nine to 6 N.m (53 in. lb.) 
  3. Tighten bolts to 10 N.m (89 in. lb.) starting at number one working clockwise 
  4. Rotate additional 90° in sequence starting at bolt 1

Transmission Oil Pump Housing To Cover Bolt Torque Procedure: 
  1. Tighten to 5 N.m (44 In. Lbs.) 
  2. Rotate additional 45° 
 -
Valve Body Bolt Torque Procedure: 
  1. Install bolts except for the spots where the locating pins are installed and hand tighten 
  2. Remove the pins and install the remaining bolts 
  3. Tighten bolts to 8 N.m (71 In. Lbs.)
