Upper Control Arm: Notes

REMOVAL

1 - Upper Control Arm Front Bolt
2 - Upper Control Arm Rear Bolt
3 - Upper Control Arm
4 - Ball Stud
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. For left side only, disconnect the height sensor rod from the ball stud, if equipped.
  4. Hold the upper control arm rear nut and remove the upper control arm rear bolt.
  5. Hold the upper control front nut and remove the upper control arm front bolt.
  6. Remove the upper control arm.

INSTALLATION 

During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

NOTE:

In any instance where a bolt is through a rubber bushing, the bolt must be torqued with the vehicle at normal ride height.
