Lower Control Arm: Notes

REMOVAL

1 - Lower Control Arm Front Bolt
2 - Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt
3 - Lower Control Arm
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Hold the lower control arm rear nut and remove the lower control arm rear bolt.
  4. Hold the lower control arm front nut and remove the lower control arm front bolt.
  5. Remove the lower control arm.

INSTALLATION 

During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

NOTE:

In any instance where a bolt is through a rubber bushing, the bolt must be torqued with the vehicle at normal ride height.
