Range Position Switch

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Disconnect the transmission range position switch wire harness connector.

3. Remove the bolts from the transmission range position switch and remove the switch.

INSTALLATION

1. Position the transmission range position switch, then install the transmission range position switch bolts and tighten to the proper. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
   CAUTION:

   Do not overtighten switch.

2. Connect the transmission range position switch wire harness connector.
3. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
4. Verify Reverse lamp operation.
5. If the transmission range position switch was replaced with a NEW  switch, the LEARN GEAR SHIFT SENSOR  routine must be performed using a scan tool.
