Standard Procedure - Fluid Drain And Fill: Notes

DRAIN 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONPLATE, SKID, FUEL TANK, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONPLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Place drain pan beneath the transfer case.

   1 - Drain Plug

   2 - Fill Plug

4. Remove the fill and drain plugs and allow the fluid to drain.
5. Install the drain plug.

FILL 

1. Fill the transfer case to the proper level using the specified fluid. Refer to CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FLUIDS, SPECIFICATIONS .

2. Install the fill plug.
3. Install the skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONPLATE, SKID, FUEL TANK, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONPLATE, SKID, TRANSFER CASE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
