Power Lock System

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Chrysler Voyager and 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The following are tests that may help to diagnose the hardwired components and circuits of the power lock system. However, these tests may not prove conclusive in the diagnosis of this system. In order to obtain conclusive testing of the power lock system, the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus and all of the electronic modules that provide inputs to, or receive outputs from the power lock system components must also be tested.

The diagnostic scan tool can provide confirmation that the CAN data bus is functional, that all of the proper electronic modules are sending and receiving the proper electronic messages over the CAN data bus, and that the power lock motors are receiving the proper hardwired outputs from the Body Control Module (BCM) for them to perform their power lock system functions.

Refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, connector pin-out information and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
