This vehicle will have the option of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop / Start. The ACC system uses a Long Range Radar (LRR) mounted at the front of the vehicle located in the lower portion of the front fascia to detect objects in its path.

If the lane ahead is clear, the system will maintain the set speed. When slower traffic is detected, the vehicle will adjust speed to maintain a safe distance.

The ACC system operates down to 0 mph which allows the system to stop the vehicle, then re-engage to safe-range speeds as traffic begins to move. The ACC System allows the driver to resume by either pressing the resume button or tapping the accelerator pedal.

The ACC system works independently with grade braking and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).

The ACC, ABS, IPC, EVIC, PCM and the SCCM each contain a controller and programming that allow them to communicate with each other using the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus.
