Theory Of Operation

The Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) system used in this vehicle has two control modules. One control module is dedicated to each side of the vehicle. If the sensor detects a vehicle in the blind spot path, the module will send a CAN bussed message to the corresponding door module for a LED blind spot warning light request. The Module monitors itself for any internal failures, CAN bus communication concerns, battery, system voltage, and any vehicle configuration concerns.
