Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. With the scan tool, read RBSS DTCs and record on the repair order.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    4. With the scan tool, read RBSS DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. PROXI CONFIGURE THE RBSS 
    1. With the scan tool, perform the Proxi Configuration Alignment routine.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Cycle the ignition switch from off to on at least five times.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

  3. PROXI CONFIGURE THE BCM 
    1. With the scan tool, perform the Proxi Configuration Alignment routine.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Cycle the ignition switch from off to on at least five times.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  4

      No 

  4. CHECK THE BCM HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE PART NUMBERS 
    1. With the scan tool, look at the BCM hardware and software part numbers and record on the repair order.

      Are the BCM hardware and software part numbers correct for the vehicle?

      Yes 

      No
