Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

With the scan tool, read Memory Seat Module-Passenger (MSMP) DTCs and record on the repair order.
With the scan tool, erase MSMP DTCs.
Turn the ignition off.
Turn the ignition on.
Cycle the Passenger Seat Switch in all directions several times.
Wait a minimum of 50 seconds and with the scan tool, read MSMP DTCs.
Did the DTC return?

Yes
- Replace the Passenger Seat Switch in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SWITCH, SEAT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
