Diagnostic Test

- READ AND RECORD DTCS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DATA - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in all Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and record on the repair order.NOTE:
A front door must remain open whenever checking or erasing Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2) DTCs.
- With the scan tool, run a vehicle Scan Report, or record the Environmental Data related to the DTCs.
- With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10.0 seconds.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read TBM2 DTCs.
NOTE:A front door must remain open whenever checking or erasing Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2) DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the appropriate INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in all Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and record on the repair order.
- PERFORM THE PROXI CONFIGURATION ROUTINE IN THE TBM2
- With the scan tool, perform the Proxi Configuration in the TBM2.
- With the scan tool, record and erase the TBM2 DTCs.
- Cycle the ignition switch from on to off, wait five seconds and then back to on.
- With the scan tool, read the active TBM2 DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Replace the TBM2 in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
